Are you interested in tracing your family history but unsure where to start? The genealogy group at the Sunbury Library will teach you how to use the tools of genealogy and family history. The group will meet on multiple dates until the end of the year, providing ample opportunities to get started or continue your research.
During these sessions, you’ll have free access to library resources, including books, databases, and online resources. You’ll also receive expert guidance from our facilitators and have the opportunity to connect with fellow genealogy enthusiasts.
The genealogy group is co-facilitated with Hume U3A, an organisation dedicated to lifelong learning and personal development. All are welcome to join, regardless of prior experience with genealogy or family history research.
To bring your family history to life, we’ll be using Ancestry and Find My Past to locate historical records, photos, maps, and family trees. These powerful tools make it easy to trace your family’s history and uncover new information about your ancestors.
Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been researching your family history for years, the genealogy group is the perfect place to learn, connect, and discover your roots. Join today and start your journey into the past!
