Some COVID restrictions will ease as of 11.59pm tonight, Thursday the 10th of June. However, many restrictions will still be in place. Here’s what you’ll be able to do and not do after midnight tonight.

Story continues below…

The five reasons to leave home will be gone and the 10km travel limit will be increased to 25km. The only reason to travel more than 25km is for work, education, caregiving or vaccination.

You still won’t be allowed to have visitors in your home (except for intimate partners or caregivers) but you can gather outdoors in groups of up to 10. People living alone can form a social bubble with one other person.

Students will go back to school but workers are asked to continue working from home if they can. Childcare can also be open.

Retail can reopen with one person per four square metres. Pubs, cafes and restaurants can open for up to 50 people with one person per four square metres. Hairdressers and beauty salons can open only for services where masks can be worn.

Community sport can resume training but cannot compete.

Masks must be worn at all times.

Night clubs, gyms and dance studios will remain closed for now.

These COVID restrictions will stay in place until further notice.
