Restrictions relax…again!

Restrictions have relaxed in Victoria again so here’s what you can and can’t do now.

There are no restrictions on leaving home and you can now have up to 30 visitors to your home per day. The limit on outdoor public gatherings is now 100. There are no restrictions on exercise.

Masks only need to be worn in high-risk areas such as shopping centres, supermarkets, public transport, indoor markets, department stores and in taxis and ride shares. However, you do need to carry your masks with you at all times.

Childcare centres, schools, adult education centres, outdoor playgrounds are all open.

Workers can attend onsite at a 75% capacity.

Other venues are open based on per square metres including the following:

  • Restaurants, bars, cafes, pubs – 1 person per 2 square metres with up to 25 patrons before density quotient applies
  • Play centres, indoor skateparks and indoor trampoline centres – 1 person per 4 square metres
  • General retail – 1 person per 2 square metres
  • Hairdressers, beauty salons – 1 person per 2 square metres when using electronic record keeping. 1 person per 4 square metres when not using electronic record keeping.
  • Real estate inspections and auctions – 1 person per 2 square metres when using electronic record keeping. 1 person per 4 square metres when not using electronic record keeping.
  • Supermarkets – 1 person per 2 square metres
  • Outdoor recreation and sport – 1 person per 2 square metres with up to 100 people for outdoor fitness classes. Record keeping is required.
  • Gyms – 1 person per 4 square metres when gym is staffed. 1 person per 8 square metres when gym is unstaffed. Gyms and exercise classes are limited to 50 people and record keeping is required.
  • Community facilities – 1 person per 2 square metres when using electronic record keeping. 1 person per 4 square metres when not using electronic record keeping.
  • Places of worship – 1 person per 2 square metres when using electronic record keeping. 1 person per 4 square metres when not using electronic record keeping.
  • Indoor and outdoor seated entertainment venues – 75% capacity with a maximum of 1,000 people.
  • Indoor non-seated entertainment venues – 50% capacity with a maximum of 1,000 people
  • Outdoor non-seated entertainment venues – 75% capacity
  • Weddings – 1 person per 2 square metres when using electronic record keeping. 1 person per 4 square metres when not using electronic record keeping.
  • Funerals – 1 person per 2 square metres when using electronic record keeping. 1 person per 4 square metres when not using electronic record keeping.
